Hope someone sees this that may be familiar with my problem. I was quoted this morning afigure of approx $970. to replace the SRS (Safety Restraint System) at the Dealer. The light stays on; just started yesterday. Basically itmeans the air bags may not open in the event of a crash if I read the manual correctly.
I have babied this auto from the day I bought it new at the same dealer. All work, repairs etc have been done same place and on TIME!
Is this a fair price?
I refused to have it dome because I thought at first it meant the air bags might open without a crash occurring. But that's not the case.
However come 2009 when it is due for the State Inspection; it will not pass unless the SRS light is off.
